At Casamira we understand that life is simpler and more enjoyable with a glass of good wine. That is why we create authentic and sophisticated wines that express and pay tribute to their place of origin, to enhance every moment of life.
We are Casamira, an invitation to share happiness.
Our philosophy sets the course for what we do. The uniqueness of our terroir is expressed in each grape, in each person who harvests them, in the cellars, and, ultimately, in each glass of wine.
Savor life at every moment, connecting people with the purest and noblest of our land.
Being part of the elite of Argentine viticulture: a precious stone in the fascinating world of wine.
Our everyday attitude.
Christian Müller, the maker of Casamira, was born in Rostock, a city on the Baltic Sea, in former East Germany, but in 1998 he visited Argentina and his life took a turning point. The landscapes, culture, and people instantly seduced him, and he dared to dream of a project that linked his passion for wines with the beauty and potential of the country. In 2003 he went to the Uco Valley for the first time and realized that this was the right place to make his dreams come true. This is how Casamira was born: a venture in which the magic of the Altamira terroir coexists with the kindness of its inhabitants.
Each Casamira creation contains, within its bottle, that passion that led Christian to dream and work to achieve exclusive products. The essence of the place, the meticulous work, and the joy of sharing unrepeatable moments are perceived in each wine.
'Wine is the result of constant variables such as the terroir and the climate of a place, but people transform it into something very particular, almost impossible to copy. Just like people, each wine is a unique product. '
(Christian Müller)
We work with a winery in Valle de Uco which has a production capacity of 2,000,000 liters and more than 70 years of experience in winemaking. Each batch is fermented separately in small concrete pools, allowing excellent temperature management. We use vertical basket presses that help to obtain superior wines, without bitterness and reduced amounts of lees. The aging is carried out in 225-liter French oak barrels.
The meticulous traceability and quality controls are reflected in the nobility of each wine. Each one is the result of a delicate process that involves the handling of the vineyards, knowledge of harvesting, and production and aging techniques. Essential processes that successfully capture the subtle expressions of the grape.
We love our soil, and we know that the environment is our ally in this process. We are driven by a commitment to sustainable viticulture, intimately connected with nature.
Therefore, we apply responsible production methods that preserve the purity of the environment as much as possible.
Our vineyard is 100% sustainable, we follow the international protocol "Sustainable vineyard management" and we hold the "Sustainable vineyard" certification.
The knowledge acquired during more than ten years exporting premium wines from Argentina and Chile to the world allowed us to develop a deep understanding of the business. As well as cultivating our sensitivity to the drinking tastes and trends in multiple markets.
Throughout all this time, we developed strategic value connections to promote the commercialization of our wines in the most prestigious locations in Europe and America.
